That may be true, but I am judging from the adverts on TV. I have to assume that what they portray are what the producers intend them to portray.<hr /></blockquote>And to think Dulc started this thread with the concern that unsuspecting straight dudes would go into theaters shocked because the ads weren't informative enough.

Based on what I've heard from those who have seen this movie, it says the story was told honestly, without agenda, taking into account all parties involved.

Knowing two people closely who have gone through divorce and dealt with some of these issues, I'm inclined to believe a movie that tells a story honestly isn't going to glorify adultery as it occurs in this film.

Oh, and for an attempt to inject some light-hearted levity in a thread seemingly filled with angry invective:

Apparently one of the cowboy wives is a Rodeo Queen. (This was the actual terminology in the synopsis at movietickets.com.) And I thought to myself - was this PLANNED? They have a Gay Cowboy marry a QUEEN?

Was the author just giggling up a storm when she wrote that?

Interesting then that KP, who is a Bush-voting Rush Limbaugh dittohead, went out deliberately looking to have a marriage-ending affair. Those HURT people.

But then, the libertarian-voting me does think that it is okay for people to be gay. I guess I don't see how that hurts other people. The only reasons for objecting to that I have heard are all religion-based, and that is not something that influences my opinions.

WQe as Americans have the right to go see whatever movies we want, just as moviemakers have the right to make movies with pretty much whatever subject matter they want.

Jumper didnt like my little joke about it, that's fine.
It doesnt make me homophobic, because in reality I dont care about people's sexual preferance.
If a guy is into guys, then it's his life and he can be into whomever or whater he chooses to be.
I dont get peoples problem with the fact that I am not scared to say that I really dont care and that I will not cower to those who say I have to understand the gay thing.
What's there to understand?
If you are into the same sex, then that's what you are.

As for the movie, I've heard it's a pretty good film but I dont think it's anything I would rush out to see.
That makes me nothing more than a person excersing his freedom of choice.

My wife wants to see it, but we typically wait until they come out on DVD. I think we've been inside a movie theater once in the past year.

But for those who have seen it, I do have to know one thing- do the main characters eat pudding anywhere in the film? I am a huge South Park fan and, well, I gotta know.

And again, I'm all for one's horizons being broadened and all that.....but the movies D2 has gotten Jumper into these days.....ok I gotta know this- is it reciprocal? In other words, has D2 been going with Jumper to go see movies like Doom, the Great Raid, Jarhead, etc.

X-Men 3 is coming out later this year. Are Jumper and D2 going to be there, or are they going to be waiting for the relase of Brigid Jones 3?
